i think they edited it in a different order than it will occur in the show...i bet he says that closer to the end of their argument. I am so freakin' pumped for this episode. At the same time it'll be sure to end with a what if and we'll have to wait months for the next one....

I know, its terribly frustrating but she is flawed but trying this season. She went through a lot this year so lets wait and see how she handles all this. Castle got three weeks to get over the secret but she will have few hours .....lets hope marlowe ties a bow at the end of it all.

She may well resign in the last episode, but she'll be back in the fall because of course, both Beckett and Castle have to be in the show - we know neither of them will be killed off. But I still get annoyed at the "it's all about Beckett's needs and feelings." Poor Castle gets no affection/concern.

Could be that since Castle already knows Beckett heard him say it before and since they have apparently ironed out their differences (to some degree), the casualness of the affectionate declaration is subtext of "I love you, and you know that, because you remember hearing it before" or, maybe they dealt with that before the scene.

I tend not to lean towards him getting shot, though something has to intervene to change Alexis from moving away just yet. Unless they cut her role and she only visits on holidays. So yes, castle hurt maybe but not in danger. She will definitely be pulled up..., thats not the cliffhanger.

Marlowe mentioned in his interviews that he is not after physical danger for this finale. Its going to more on the emotional level. He does not want to bring a predictable theme and wants to return back to fun come season....

The whole point of this show was that Castle is/was a kid (or acts like one) and that Beckett is closed off and more rigid because of her emotionally heavy past (read: drama). So, if an ep focuses on Beckett, it's gunna have some Beckett drama. If it focuses on Castle, it's gunna be super funny and/or strange. That just makes sense. If you only like the funny/kiddish Castle then you only like half the show!

after seeing the promo soooo many times i think it is before the rooftop scene , she goes to the cemetery to her mam's grave & then just sit alone thinking about stuff then she quits her job go straight to castle's house stay the night & the next morning ( same clothes cuz she didn't get clothes with her ) the sniper shows up or she chase him i deduce that cuz of the timing i mean night & day & her clothes
after, totally after...in fact i say the roof top thing happens then police come, she goes back to the 12th fights with Gates, resigns, then goes to Castle.
notice when she was in the cemetery u can see that the sun is beginning to set , then when she throws the badge the sun is almost setting then when she kisses castle it is dark then when she fights with the sniper it is morning also her clothes are the same starting the cemetery scene then in the precinct then at castle's house then the next morning with the sniper ( which kinda proves she spend the night at castle's )
actually, for the root top sence, someone on tumblr sepculate that Esposito will be the one saving Beckett. Exact wording are:

Hmm... so Espo and Ryan save Beckett in the roof mess, she has epiphany of Rick and how much she loves him, she decides NYPD will be interference to helping find who shot her, she resigns, goes to Rick, they play (adult style), and next fall Castle finds his father (in the CIA), and he, Beckett, and Colin Hunt (cast by a Brit this time), and Detective Slaughter (on Castle's dime) take down the Dragon and his minions with help from Espo and Ryan inside the 12th.
A few things I noticed when you compare the two promos: ABC promo - 0:21 it doesn't look like there's anyone else on the roof. CTV Promo - 0:24 she goes off the roof and it looks like there's a fire escape below her ABC promo - 0:25 it looks like Kate has a bruise or blood on her right cheek as she's stepping into Castle's loft I'm guessing she finds a way to fall onto the fire escape (has an epiphany about dying before making it clear to Castle how she feels), ends her fight with the shooter and then goes to Castle's place.

.....Ok, now that I can breath....my thoughts: 1. In the first scene when Beckett grabs his hand I love that they are sitting so close that her other hand was already laying on his knee holding her coffee.
2. When she's at the cemetery (and we all assume that she's there to see her mother, right?) she's wearing the same clothes when ever she get attacked by the sniper on the roof. So I guess she went to visit before the show down.
3. I LOVE so much the emotion of Castle in the promo. It makes me say "awwww" when I see the tears in his eyes when he says he loves her. And between both promos it looks like he says it twice :D. (the more the better) AND when you hear him say don't do this but you don't see the scene, just from the sound of it, and from what it looks like from the US promo, through the argument they keep getting closer...and closer...and closerrrr....lol
4. When Kate comes to Castle door all wet, (guess its raining, nice touch) she's wearing the same clothes from the cemetery trip, and the fight she had with the sniper, and when she resigns from her job. So one, I think the roof top falling thing isn't going to be the cliff hanger because of that (that God) and maybe she resigns and goes sees Castle. :D

Haha I think your theory Is so going to happen. I thought the roof was going to fall too, but now I don't think so. So the cliffhanger could be that Kate actually resigns. Wait, idea, maybe Kate just resigns from the case not being a cop. Ok so now I'm on a roll. Ok so Rick and Kate argue and they get closer he cups her cheek, then leaves. So far fanbase has pitchforks in hand. Kate thinks about what Rick tells her like what do you truly want? Kate is trying to decide but that's when the sniper comes in and they fight on the roof top. Gates or Rick catches Kate at the last moment and the sniper is definitely going to get put away. Kate is still shaken up however and goes to her mom's or roy's grave. There she ponders for an hour or two of what she really wants. It starts raining, after she figures out she wants Rick and nothing less or more. She runs to his apartment soaked and knocks on the door. Rick opens the door and kisses him senseless. Kate tells Rick she loves him, and he is all that she wants and that he better not touch her mom's case anymore because she is NOT living without him. Rick says ditto. They go to kiss again but Martha walks by with a coffee cup and looks at them. By this time the fanbase is content but is about to start yelling when Martha walks in. However onsted of interrupting them, Martha says carry on with a smile, fanbase is content, oh and the cliffhanger is Kate just gives a shrug like don't have to tell me twice, and kisses him again, while the screen fades to black. 12 on the caskett scale indeed.Thoughts??:) oh and P.S: I LOVE YOUR COMMENT

It's been four years, and finally it's happening!I was in high school when this show started. God, four years. Hallelujah just doesn't cut it. I'd say I can't believe mom and dad are almost "together," but I feel more like the parent than the kid now. Maybe a mass in their name or something.
What's really depressing is I haven't been as happy as I was after tonight's episode in a while. It was truly amazing, and the finale is still a week away!

Only a promo like this could make me forget the amazing castle episode i just watched. My thoughts: -Maybe Beckett resigning is the only way she feels like she can step away from her mother's case (for castle). She would never burry anything or hide evidence. -At first i thought when Beckett shows up at Castle's house she was wearing the sam outfit she was attacked in, but the turtleneck is gone. ? OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I honestly hyperventilated at tho promo!!!!! Then I didn't breathe for a good minute or two. Then the screaming started. This is too amazing for me to handle <33333
Ok Ok trying to calm down. After watching it about a thousand and one times here's my take. She is visiting Montgomery's grave not her mom's. Chronologically: Castle and her good, working together. Beckett finds out about his connection to the case Beckett is finished with Castle, he confesses his love for her and she leaves anyway. Fight on the rooftop, barely survives. End at Castles. Also I think that the move back by Castle was just so he could close the door. No one wants such a romantic moment in the middle of the hallway! One Week.
Sigh...this build-up has been exhausting. I hope the promo is not indicating an amnesia storyline. I can't go through this again for another whole season...lol.
Just a wild guess. The 1st promo has Kate possibly falling off a rooftop. Various comments by cast members and the director seem to indicate a twist. We get the love confession we all want and the emotional roller coaster starts all over again.

She may well resign in the last episode, but she'll be back in the fall because of course, both Beckett and Castle have to be in the show - we know neither of them will be killed off. Could be that since Castle already knows Beckett heard him say it before and since they have apparently ironed out their differences (to some degree), the casualness of the affectionate declaration is subtext of "I love you, and you know that, because you remember hearing it before" or, maybe they dealt with that before the scene.

DeleteThe whole point of this show was that Castle is/was a kid (or acts like one) and that Beckett is closed off and more rigid because of her emotionally heavy past (read: drama). So, if an ep focuses on Beckett, it's gunna have some Beckett drama. If it focuses on Castle, it's gunna be super funny and/or strange. That just makes sense. If you only like the funny/kiddish Castle then you only like half the show!

DeleteHmm... so Espo and Ryan save Beckett in the roof mess, she has epiphany of Rick and how much she loves him, she decides NYPD will be interference to helping find who shot her, she resigns, goes to Rick, they play (adult style), and next fall Castle finds his father (in the CIA), and he, Beckett, and Colin Hunt (cast by a Brit this time), and Detective Slaughter (on Castle's dime) take down the Dragon and his minions with help from Espo and Ryan inside the 12th.

DeleteABC promo - 0:21 it doesn't look like there's anyone else on the roof.
CTV Promo - 0:24 she goes off the roof and it looks like there's a fire escape below her
ABC promo - 0:25 it looks like Kate has a bruise or blood on her right cheek as she's stepping into Castle's loft
I'm guessing she finds a way to fall onto the fire escape (has an epiphany about dying before making it clear to Castle how she feels), ends her fight with the shooter and then goes to Castle's place.

ReplyDelete1. In the first scene when Beckett grabs his hand I love that they are sitting so close that her other hand was already laying on his knee holding her coffee.
2. When she's at the cemetery (and we all assume that she's there to see her mother, right?) she's wearing the same clothes when ever she get attacked by the sniper on the roof. So I guess she went to visit before the show down.
3. I LOVE so much the emotion of Castle in the promo. It makes me say "awwww" when I see the tears in his eyes when he says he loves her. And between both promos it looks like he says it twice :D. (the more the better) AND when you hear him say don't do this but you don't see the scene, just from the sound of it, and from what it looks like from the US promo, through the argument they keep getting closer...and closer...and closerrrr....lol
4. When Kate comes to Castle door all wet, (guess its raining, nice touch) she's wearing the same clothes from the cemetery trip, and the fight she had with the sniper, and when she resigns from her job. So one, I think the roof top falling thing isn't going to be the cliff hanger because of that (that God) and maybe she resigns and goes sees Castle. :D
So please let me know ur thoughts?? Comments?? EXCITEMENT??? LOL

Haha I think your theory Is so going to happen. I thought the roof was going to fall too, but now I don't think so. So the cliffhanger could be that Kate actually resigns. Wait, idea, maybe Kate just resigns from the case not being a cop. Ok so now I'm on a roll. Ok so Rick and Kate argue and they get closer he cups her cheek, then leaves. So far fanbase has pitchforks in hand. Kate thinks about what Rick tells her like what do you truly want? Kate is trying to decide but that's when the sniper comes in and they fight on the roof top. Gates or Rick catches Kate at the last moment and the sniper is definitely going to get put away. Kate is still shaken up however and goes to her mom's or roy's grave. There she ponders for an hour or two of what she really wants. It starts raining, after she figures out she wants Rick and nothing less or more. She runs to his apartment soaked and knocks on the door. Rick opens the door and kisses him senseless. Kate tells Rick she loves him, and he is all that she wants and that he better not touch her mom's case anymore because she is NOT living without him. Rick says ditto. I know Alexis and kate weren't on good terms earlier in the season, but I think Alexis kinda let go of her anger after Kate got Martha and Rick out of the bank. I think they just need to have a good talk. I think Alexis would just give Kate a don't hurt him talk and Kate and Alexis express the shooting and how that left them and by talking about it they get closer. I would like to see this happen. But I would hate to see a upset alexis complaining about their relationship in season 5 or kissing in the finale. However Alexis hasn't been showing any hate towards Kate in the last episodes, so I'm hopeful. Lol yep can't have dull pitchforks. That would just ruin all fun;) lol

Both promos are great and give us some good insight but the ABC promo was the winner for me !So Castle says that he loves Kate more than once it seems...I just hope that Kate can say I love you too and if they DO have sex hopefully before they actually do...do it lol. I just feel that after all they have gone through and after Kates thearapy with Dr. Burke that is time for her to say it !

ReplyDeleteIt's been four years, and finally it's happening!I was in high school when this show started. God, four years. Hallelujah just doesn't cut it. I'd say I can't believe mom and dad are almost "together," but I feel more like the parent than the kid now. Maybe a mass in their name or something.
What's really depressing is I haven't been as happy as I was after tonight's episode in a while. It was truly amazing, and the finale is still a week away!
We should just put hats on when the finale airs and throw them in the air when they finally kiss like graduation day.

I think he's just pulling back because he's shocked, but that won't last more than a second. If he were to pull back, you could see it in her face. And there's nothing on her face other than "I'm gonna jump your bones here and now". He's seen that and he wants to be a gentleman and close the door.
