Inside TV 'Castle' scoop: Castle and Beckett will share a [spoiler] in an upcoming episode!

A new challenge will unleash new emotions between Castle and Beckett in the second half of ABC’s faultlessly fun crime drama, but it’s probably less romantic than you might think it is. (Or is it?)

While chatting about what Castle fans can expect from the next batch of new episodes, executive producer Andrew Marlowe said the show’s reality TV-themed episode, which will feature a guest spot from White Collar and One Tree Hill alum Hilarie Burton, will find the partners in a situation they’ve never experienced before: sharing custody of a four-legged friend. “There’s some fun to be had with the Castle-Beckett relationship [because] our victim is a celebrity dog-show host and famous dog trainer. And in the aftermath of his death, his beloved golden retriever is left family-less. So Castle and Beckett get to enjoy sharing custody of the dog and I think it brings out stuff in their relationship that’s a lot of fun,” Marlowe said.

  1. Looks like Castle is getting that dog he always wanted, and nothing better than to share custody of it with Beckett. He mentioned having a dog in season two where he referred Beckett as his "work wife".

  3. This sounds great! This will give them a chance to a bit of domesticity! Beckett did ask Agent Shaw how she juggled a career and family. How cute would it be if they treated this dog like their baby? HaHa!

    Can't wait to see this!

hmmm, i think they are taking their "one dark, one light ep" a bit too serious...besides, i kinda have seen enough of the "friendly fun", i'd like to see caring (for each other), like in Rise, when Beckett desparately tries to explain to Castle why she didn't call. i really don't want to complain, but i am missing this seriousness since ep 2. there were some glances of it in cops&robbers, which for me has been the best ep along with Rise this season.
