EW's Spoiler Room (9/23/11)

Anything on Castle!? Particularly, can you guarantee me we’re done with that Josh business? — Val

We’re done. Like, done, done. Um, for now, says EP Andrew Marlowe. “Nobody is ever gone for good, but I have no immediate plans to bring him back into the storytelling. If I ever have the appetite, rest assured I’m going to do it in a surprising way — not in an annoying way.”

Meaning, Josh might show up again... but as a murder suspect? That could be interesting.

Any other scenario in which he's the good guy is going to be annoying. Especially to us shippers.

  2. I think every way that's not Kate's boyfriend would be okay with me. I don't mind him being the good guy. He can be as great as he wants. And tall, and ridiculously handsome and a perfect doctor and all that, but he should never again come close to being Kate's boyfriend!
But ever other way I'd be happy to see more Victor Webster for sure. You gotta admit that he's HOT!

  3. The way I would want to see him come back the most- He comes looking for Kate so he can try dating her again, but she is either with Castle or closer to getting together with him so she turns him down. That's how we would know if she's ready for a relationship with him.

I agree, this would be interesting.

This comment felt somewhat egotistical to me in a I'm-going-to-bring-him-back-if-I-want-to-bring-him-back but in a I-know-where-my-bread-and-butter-is-kind-of-way.

  5. 1) Murder victim? Kate and Castle could be suspects . . . I think its about time Kate sits on the other side of the interrogation table :D Another option for that is Castle is the suspect and Kate is his alibi (and that folks is how we find out that they are seeing each other, SNEAKY ;D)

    2) Josh could somehow be involved with her Mom’s murder or his family and he knew all along who killed her.

    3) A nurse at the hospital is murdered and Kate finds out that Josh has been sleeping with her and has been even when she was still dating him. I know you guys don't want Josh to be the bad guy, but hey he thinks he was justified because he believed Kate was cheating with Castle (and in a way she was). Murderer or not, we'll leave that up to AM and his crew.

  6. If he comes back, he should just run into Castle and Beckett while they're together (when they finally do get together) and on a date or something. That would serve for some nicely awkward moments :D

  9. So far Liking the ideas, (except for that one about her Mother’s Case) I’m more of a fan of the moral and socially awkward route, that doesn’t make him the bad guy.

A desperate suspect injects Castle with a substance that causes a massive heart arrhythmia; Kate goes with him to the hospital where Josh is on call. Cue awkwardness with Josh assuming she and Castle are together.

Would make a great ending to the first half of two part episode
